New investor and 400 jobs more in INVEST-PARK BIAŁOGARD

Białogardzki Park Inwestycyjny „Invest-Park” [Invest-Park Białogard] has won over a new investor. It is a Danish-Polish company named BG Production – European leaders in Norwegian salmon and Atlantic cod processing. BG Production have been running their business as of 2010 in Wieniotowo near Ustronie Morskie. Due to its dynamic development the company will rent and then buy from „Invest-Park” modern production premises in which approx. 400 persons will be employed already in 2017. Company’s business is concentrated on supplies of high quality fish products manufactured using modern specialist machinery and equipment.

Winning over of next investor proves that investment offer of Invest-Park Białogard is very attractive and is more and more popular with prospective new investors. Among them are companies with American, Finnish, Norwegian, British, Danish, Swedish and Polish capital. Currently, nine companies employing approximately 500 persons have been operating at the Invest-Park Białogard premises.

The Investor Service Office, operating efficiently in the Technological Incubator of the Social & Business Initiative Association, has been contributing greatly to winning new investors for Białogard.

On Thursday, 15 December 2016, a contract was signed for construction and renting out of new production premises, featuring the area of 5,000 m2. The investor committed itself, in the contract, to buy the premises within 5 years. The investor shall not be exempt, during the renting period, from the real estate tax; thanks to this investment project, new jobs will be created but also Municipality’s budget will be supported. The investor committed itself also to move its place of business to Białogard, therefore, the Municipality of Białogard will get extra taxes. In 2014 we declared that by year 2020 number of jobs created in the Technological Incubator and Invest-Park will exceed 1,000. Employers appreciate our offer and I believe that this figure will be exceeded already in 2017. We make every effort to win more employers from various business sectors so that our dwellers may have a choice to select from many job offers. More job offers creates also a chance for higher earnings. – said Krzysztof Bagiński, Mayor of Białogard.

“We have selected Białogard because it is the most dynamically developing town in our region; its social and economic infrastructure is developing vigorously. In recent years BG Production has noted continuous, dynamic development and thanks to cooperation with Invest-Park we have now associated our further development with Białogard District. We will start our production in Białogard in August 2017 but we have decided to employ the District inhabitants already now. We have been making arrangements for busses to bring workers to our plant in Wieniotowo, near Ustronie Morskie, for those who are interested in working for BG Production. The bus shall go through Stanomino, Białogard and Karlino. We are aware of labour market competition, therefore, we are ready to offer good earnings.”- said Daniel Pilewski, General Manager of BG Production.

“It is very important event for the dwellers of Białogard District. We have next investor and more jobs but I would like to refer to the history; the decision to deliver District-owned land to the Invest-Park and the Social & Business Initiative Association (owners of the Technological Incubator) was greatly criticised but I believe that it was a right decision, which secured this potential based on which we can today erect new production premises.” – said Tomasz Hynda, Białogard District Governor.

This investment project was supported by a new shareholder of Invest-Park, mainly the Social & Business Initiative Association, which paid in PLN 1.5 million.

“Development of local labour market is a priority for the Association’s members, therefore, the General Assembly of the Association has unanimously decided to take over shares and support activities of Invest-Park Białogard.” – said Piotr Pakuszto, Białogard District Deputy Governor.

“It appears from the analysis of the up-to-date contacts with investors that the strongest point of „Invest-Park” is a possibility of renting of a ready to operate production premises. A good example of this is also our new investor, BG Production. This investment project will be located in the area considered the best investment area in the West Pomeranian province in a competition named Grunt na Medal organised by Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency. Białogard is the first town in Poland, which was prized in this competition for the second time. In 2010 the area in which two big halls were constructed for Kabel-Technik-Polska owned by Finish-American group PKC was prized”- said Robert Madejski, Chairman of INVEST-PARK.
